GESTES D'ASIE

7-months trip to meet the people and know-how of Southeast Asia. With a group of designers, we traveled 7 countries, observed gestures, exchanged with artisans, discovered cultures and shared, thanks to the textile common language.

Pieces of their clothes embroideries. During one afternoon, the embroiderers taught us the basis of their knowledge. They used a bigger weaving as they do to teach their daughters.

The patterns make with discontinuous supplementary weft are produced thanks to the pattern heddles. A wood plank, the "sword" optimizes shed opening for the patterns.
